Lynette’s Letter
Praise God for giving us salvation and hope throughout this Easter season. Thank you for those who helped with the Easter breakfast, the Youth Group and especially our chef Mary K. Jones. Thank you also Rhonda Alter for helping out. We thank you for those who donated money for Youth’s fundraising.
Thank you also for bringing your children for the Easter egg hunt. It was a fun time for the kids and the young people who prepared and hid the Easter eggs. Thank you for those who donated candies and the Easter eggs.
Tess and Renae preached a great sermon on Youth Sunday. We fasted for the 30hr famine! Robert and Gabriel read the Scriptures very well, and Breanna prayed and blessed the offering. Thank you Youth Group! Thank you for everyone who donated money for the 30hr. The money will go to the World Vision to help all the hungry children.
The Vacation Bible School team is getting ready for the training day, May 19, from 9am –12pm. I am grateful for Rhonda Alter & Karen Crawford for putting all their efforts into the planning and preparation. I’m also grateful for the volunteers who are willing to serve God through VBS.
We are still looking for a willing person to do craft, so if you know of someone, please let us know. Please do not forget to register your child or children for VBS. There’s a fee, $10 per person and $20 per family. However, if you cannot afford this, we have scholarship available.
The children’s choir will be singing at the music festival during lunch on June 23. I hope that all the children will be there to sing. We will be singing songs that we have sung before during blended worships. For those parents who haven’t bought their tickets for this day we still have plenty for everyone.
On the music festival day, the Youth will be selling drinks and sandwiches for lunch as part of their fundraising for their trip to San Francisco. Please parents make sure you have them available on this day.
Our trip to San Francisco is from July 15-19. Many of you already agreed to go, thank you. If any of the adults would like to join us, please let us know.
The Pop-Rock music academy is a fun and wonderful time for your children to enjoy music. It is a three weeks program, so I would like to invite your children who are musically inclined or just want to learn music to talk to our Choir Director Paul Kwo who is organizing this music academy.
May this month brings you happiness and peace.
Shalom
