CULVER-PALMS BEGINS
QUARTERLY LEADERSHIP SUMMITS
Saturday, April 12, 1-4 p.m.
"Healthy Leaders, Healthy Churches" is the theme of the first Quarterly Leadership Summit at Culver-Palms UMC, Saturday, April 12, 1-4 p.m, featuring The Rev. Dr. Karen Dalton, Dean of Ministry Resources and Director of Field Education at Claremont School of Theology. The afternoon workshop will explore how leaders can nurture their own spiritual development, effectively manage their time, and inspire others to be in mission.
Dr. Dalton is a United Methodist minister who has a passion for connecting theory and practice. Her strongest interests are in leadership and spiritual formation, and she teaches in these areas along with directing the field education program. Before beginning theological study she was on the faculty at Whitworth College teaching communication. She has also done consulting work in the areas of communication, team-building, and organization development.
Pastor Rich Bolin and CPUMC's Lay Leadership Team are designing quarterly events to nurture current and new leaders. Chairpersons and leaders of all Committees and Ministry Teams are strongly urged to attend, and every participant in the CPUMC family is welcome. There is no fee for the workshop, but donations to help defray the expense of these events are welcome.
